Antique French Wine Corker or in French, "Bouchoneuse".
Comes from the "Midi" region of France. Made early 1900s
These hinged type of corker are generally turned by hand, so every one you come across is different.
This is still a usable item and can still put corks into bottles.
Also makes good kitchen décor.
Pretty sure it's olive wood. 22cm high.
