Quite an interesting instrument, I guess it's in the dulcimer family?
There are 4 strings all tuned the same, the first course of 2 strings play the major notes, the second course play the sharps and minors.
The other 3 strings can be tuned how you like, an open G for example.
An instrument I think can be experimented with, different thickness of strings, tuning etc.
