This is a fretless bass guitar made in Japan in the Chushin Gakki factory mid 70s.
It's a copy of the Gibson "Grabber" made famous by Gene Simmons of Kiss.
This is a proper fretless, very rare, it was made like this, the frets haven't been removed! ....and it plays very nicely.
The neck is maple and is nice and straight, I think the body is also made from maple although they were later made from alder.
The head stock is Gibson shape, tuning keys are a bit worn, the chrome has worn in places but function fine.
The bridge is very similar to the Fender - Ripper guitars, which were also copied in the same factory. It's missing the bridge cover.
It has 1 sliding humbucker type pickup, which changes the tone by moving it towards or away from the neck. There is also a Tone knob and a Volume control.
Total length is 116 cm. It comes in a hard case. Guitar and case weigh 9.5kg !
