6/7 Salon-Harfe or Mandolin Zither
A Salon-Harp zither or Mandolin zither or even a "Piano Harp" made in Germany early 50s. There is no makers name but it did come with a guide and music partitions by Friedrich Ahrens a music editor.
It has 6 chords each with7 strings and 25 double course melody strings, - 92 strings in total.
Very nice condition with the natural wood finish, probably top end of the market when made, brass nuts on the hand rail, instead of screws!
Strings in good condition and stays in tune.
Very slight wood shrinkage on the back, nothing serious, not affecting the sound or structural strength.
Dimensions are - 54cm x 45cm.
Leaves my workshop tuned and it does come with a tuning key.
