A 5 chord mandoline zither made by Jul Raab, Vienna, Austria early 1900s. Called a "Tisch Klavier".
There are 5 sets of chords each with 4 strings. There are 21 double course melody strings. These are tuned in unison giving the mandolin sound, the double strings are also supposed to make it louder! 62 strings in total.
It has a removable wooden cover, quite rare! Strings in good condition, pins hold the notes.
Slight wood shrinkage but nothing affecting the sound.
Comes with a tuning key and will be tuned before leaving my workshop.
Dimensions - 50cm x 36cm
