5 Chord guitar zither made in DDR Germany 1960s./1970s probably in Markneukirchen. The Musima factory.
Very nice condition, tuning pins hold the note, strings in good condition, It's been looked after in its original cardboard box all these years!
It has 5 sets of chords, each with 4 strings, there are 21 melody strings. 41 strings in total.
This is the type of zither recommended by Etienne de Lavaulx (the zither player) as seen on Youtube.
Dimensions are 50cm x 35cm. Pretty rose decal.
It will leave my workshop tuned. Let me know if you prefer the original tuning or I can tune it to Etienne's alternative tuning.
All my zithers have been verified to be playable instruments, restored, strings changed where necessary, verifying that it stays in tune.
