Mandolin Chord Zither. 92 Strings
A concert Mandolin Chord Zither made in Germany 1930s by Renfranz Essen.
Structurally sound. No evident cracking. Pretty good for its age. And holds its tuning.
This one has 6 sets of chords each with 7 strings.
25 notes, doubled up for the melody strings, giving the mandolin sound, 50 strings altogether.
It has easy access to where the strings are attached, you don't need a screwdriver! They should all be like this!
The colour is a very deep brown, verging on black depending on the light.
Dimensions are 56 x 45cm
All zithers are tuned before leaving my workshop. Slight "tweaking" might be needed when it arrives.
Comes with a tuning key.
