A Mandriola or Tricordia, Tricordio, Trichordia or a 12 string Mandolin.
4 courses of strings each with 3 strings. The 2 thinner ones tuned in unison, the bass string, same note but tuned an octave lower.
Probably made by Walthari in Mittenwald, Germany betwween 1910 and 1930.
A little bit scuffed on the table, especially where it was played!
The "bowl" style back is in good condition (no movement or splitting). Neck is straight frets in good condition. Rosewood fingerboard. New strings.
Total length is 66cm. Diapason is 33,5cm.
Sounds lovely. Apparently mandolin players say, after you play a Mandriola you won't go back to a normal mandolin!
